Experiences have taught me a lot of things, particularly what I am passionate about and enjoy doing. I have always had many interests, but didn't always know what I wanted to do with them. Years ago, I was not aware that shooting, particularly on any sort of artistic or professional level, was something I would later call a career. I studied photography along with theater in school, but was soundly focused on the latter subject.  Interestingly, I didn’t even know I enjoyed acting until I really immersed myself in it, so much so that it brought me to New York. My acting ultimately introduced me to my friend and mentor, Mychal Watts, who I hired to do my headshots. Before I knew it, I was employed as an assistant photographer in his Manhattan studio and working with people from all walks of life. In the years I’ve spent working in the field there has always been one aspect of photography that remains my primary focus. It is the one thing that I find most intriguing above all else - "character.”  When I look at an individual, I am most fascinated by their uniqueness, by the life that is shown in their face.  This is what I find most compelling about this work, and what really makes me enjoy it. The expression "capturing the moment" is used a lot in photography, and rightfully so. My interpretation, however, is to focus on capturing all of the unique moments reflected in your faces, in your eyes.

One last thing… I think you can tell a lot about someone by what they do in their spare time, so here goes. When I’m not working you can find me: wrestling with my bulldog, listening to ‘80’s music, Watching a good horror movie, swing dancing with my wife, and saving the world from an alien invasion on my Xbox.
